All the bedrooms are double en-suite rooms situated upstairs on the first floor, each with its own individual character and decor. The "best" room, the largest and most spacious, has two huge windows, both with excellent views, one across the valley towards the sea at Staithes and the other over farmland, woods and moors. This room has a very Victorian mood and may be arranged as a twin or large double, as required, with a superking 6ft zip-linked bed beneath a swagged corona. It has a good sized en-suite bathroom also with a large window and plenty of natural light.

All the bedrooms feature examples of Janette’s handpainting, the most of which is in the pretty 4-poster bedroom with its beautiful vine-covered ceiling.

The standard room has a cast iron Victorian double bed and well-planned en-suite shower room. This room has its original fireplace. The furniture is also in period and the overall effect is quaint and charming.

All the usual amenities are provided, but in addition there are thoughtful extra touches: there are always fresh flowers and home-made biscuits in every guest room.

Rooms are available from 4:00 PM onwards on the day of arrival.
